I’m really working on loving my body and appreciating all my curves (and rolls) after having 3 babies but honestly, it’s hard. I was browsing Pinterest one day and saw this beautiful, curvy woman rocking this lace tunic with two high slits. I mean this woman was rocking the hell out of this tunic and when I saw her, I knew I needed to have one for myself. Thank goodness for the new Slash Tunic pattern from George & Ginger!
Slash Tunic
Have I mentioned that I’m a lazy seamstress? Ok, so I’m not really lazy—just limited on time because, well, life. When I saw this pattern I thought it would take forever because it had 3 pieces just for the front.
I was wrong.
The Slash Tunic comes in 3 lengths with 2 options for the slits—those feeling a little more risky vs the more conservative bunch. It also features 3 sleeve lengths and a hood as well.
When wearing this I feel absolutely amazing. I’m really feeling navy blue this season and lace is always a favorite of mine. I got this fabric locally for super cheap and couldn’t be happier.
Pattern Construction
From pattern cut to completion it took about an hour. The longest part was in hemming the slits which I hated because I’m super lazy. But this was a straightforward and easy to follow pattern. I would say it’s probably a 3 on the scale of 1-10.
Rating
Definitely a 5 out of 5 needles. Fabric choice makes this easy to dress up or down. Grab your pattern here and give it a try for yourself!
