Can I be honest? Making clothes with lining is not my strong suit. And by not my strong suit I mean I typically don’t make clothes that are lined. But then I saw the 90s Dress by Ellie & Mac and I knew I had to make a change in my sewing life.
90s Dress by Ellie & Mac
This dress is the cutest thing this season. The bodice lined and the skirt is unlined. The dress features a curved hem with hi-low options depending on your bodice options. There is one option front and two options for the back and one skirt option.
Constructing The Pattern
On a scale of 1-10 for ease it’s about a 6. You have to gather both of the skirts and attach the lined bodice to both the arms and skirt. That can be kind of hard if you aren’t a pro. Outside of this, it’s really easy and I’m no longer afraid of sewing with lining!
Pattern Rating
This pattern earns 5 needles! It’s a pretty fast sew, not too hard, and incredibly cute!
